GeoDome Pilot Program
Two new installations have joined the global GeoDome pilot program, a network that enables GeoDome users to share resources, content, and development costs. The Minnesota Planetarium and Science Discovery Center, the hub of the Minnesota network, reached over 30,000 visitors with its GeoDome Theater in its first year and has attracted support from a broad base of corporate sponsors.

Mankato East High School : Mankato, MN
Mankato East High School upgraded their existing planetarium with the GeoDome Evolver design solution, adding its interactivity and networking capabilities. In their installation, the Omnifocus SX3 projection system is placed behind and slightly above the Spitz A3P starball, allowing greater dome coverage and keeping the front central region open for seating. The two projectors do not operate simultaneously.

Como Elementary School : St. Paul, MN
The configuration of Como Elementary School's 9m planetarium creates a slightly different GeoDome than Mankato's. Placing the Omnifocus SX3 in front of the starball enables simultaneous operation of the starball and SX3, increasing pixel density in the audience's main focal area.
Thanks to Planetarium Director Dennis Brinkman.
