GeoDome Theater at the World Science Festival

We were honored to be part of this year’s World Science Festival, an annual celebration and exploration of science with events across New York City. We set up a GeoDome Theater at the Innovation Square event in Brooklyn, where people lined up to play Space Cruisers, a space exploration game Ivan Safrin and BabyCastles developed for the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History. Packed shows in the GeoDome ran all day on Saturday, June 2. On Sunday, the GeoDome was featured as part of the Science Street Fair, displaying movies created for the dome by AMNH. The GeoDome provides a tool to help realize the Science Festival Foundation’s mission: to cultivate a general public informed by science, inspired by its wonder, convinced of its value, and prepared to engage with its implications for the future.
