We’re gearing up for ASTC this week in Toronto, where we’ll be showcasing our 360° Cyclorama. The Cyclorama is a uniquely accessible way for large groups of people to experience immersive content – a social, collaborative group VR experience.
We are at ASTC in partnership with the American Museum of Natural History to showcase OpenSpace, an open source interactive data visualization software designed to visualize the entire known universe and portray our ongoing efforts to investigate the cosmos. OpenSpace is a key part of the astronomy version of our Open Playground, an extension of WorldViewer that lets GeoDome clients launch multiple applications from a single user interface. We’re building a custom interactive user interface for the Cyclorama, and we can’t wait to see OpenSpace’s high-resolution imagery in the 360° space.
We’ll be in Booth 709 at the Association of Science and Technology Centers show, September 20-24 in Toronto. We’d love to see you there! To set up a conversation on how to incorporate immersion and interactivity into your science engagement projects, drop us a line.
