‘Tis the Season for Science in the CAS GeoDome

The GeoDome Theater at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco has donned its holiday costume as part of their ‘Tis the Season for Science exhibit, now through January 6. This is the third year CAS has dressed their GeoDome in its custom-created snowman cover; two years ago it was costumed as a giant igloo. Audiences inside the dome will explore the science of Earth’s seasons, gain a new perspective on our planet and enjoy a close-up look at animals adapting to seasonal changes. Last year, an average of 600 kids experienced the dome each day, and Thanksgiving weekend in 2012 saw more than 1,000 visitors. If you’re in the Bay Area, catch some holiday spirit in the GeoDome!
