Seminole State College of Florida started the spring semester with the grand opening of their GeoDome Evolver system, part of the newly renovated Emil Buehler Planetarium, to sold-out audiences in January. Theirs is the first Evolver installation to feature an OmniFocus 500 series projection system with WQXGA (2560×1600) resolution and 7,500 lumens. The truncated OmniFocus projector is installed at far North, complementing their existing opto-mechanical machine and other equipment. Uniview will add interactivity and Earth science exploration to their current programming of planetarium movies and star parties.
