Audiences gathered around a 1.5m-diameter Compass inside a geodesic dome, as part of an immersive installation produced by DomeGuys International and Minds Over Matter for Earth Edition, A Festival of Eco-Consciousness. The Compass design integrates an OmniFocus 4K projection system at 10,000 lumens with an acrylic hemisphere into a single unit, along with the image generating computer. It can hang on the wall (as shown in this blog post) or sit on the floor, as it did in this installation – creating a campfire-style experience for groups of people in the dome. WorldViewer made it straightforward for the MoM team to port in media they created with TouchDesigner.

The festival was produced in partnership by CalArts and Visions2030, and held at CalArts in September 2023.
