Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium

The Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium at the University of Louisville (KY) began the Owsley Brown II Portable Planetarium program in 2012 in a GeoDome Theater with Uniview and WorldViewer. Immersive experiences for grades K – 12 are aligned and designed around the framework for the new and upcoming Next Generation Science Standards. The planetarium hosts open houses to show educators how ‚Äúthis exciting extension of your classroom enables the 3rd-grader learning moon phases or the high school senior learning about the formation of matter to easily grasp complex, difficult subjects.”
