One of our goals for last month’s GeoDome Network Conference was to grow our WorldViewer Stories – turnkey content pieces for GeoDome systems, available on our website. Success! Two new Stories are available now, for any WorldViewer client to download and show on their GeoDome. The first was created by our team – Earth’s Guardians: Global Conservation Expedition. This WorldViewer composition is an immersive educational journey focusing on ecosystems and highlighting conservation efforts. All the media we use is freely available online, whether streaming on YouTube360 or downloaded from NOAA’s Science on a Sphere dataset library.
The second Story was posted by a GeoDome client – the SMSU Planetarium, our host for the conference. Solar System Explorers is a set of shows the team created with WorldViewer and OpenSpace via our OpenPlayground for Astronomy. Not only do they provide engaging content for young audiences in a game-style format that keeps them coming back to learn more – they also create a template that planetarium educators can use to build shows.
We’re thrilled to support the network with content resources and the opportunity to collaborate.
